Ministries
Wednesday morning Bible Study. The group is led by a facilitator and meets on Wednesday mornings from 10:00 a.m. until Noon. Each year a new book of the Bible is selected to study. We read thru the chapter at home and again when we are all together on Wed. and then are led in a discussion on the events of that chapter, and it’s meaning to us personally. This study is open to everyone, and all are welcomed.
Westminster Cribbage meets at the church every Thursday at 12:00 p.m. All are Welcome to join. If you do not know how to play, our cribbage masters will be happy to teach you. Come out for an afternoon of fellowship and fun. We will not be meeting on Thanksgiving day in November.
The Dinner Bunch meets monthly at various restaurants in the area. A great time for fellowship and fun! Details are announced in worship or call the church.
The Hannah Circle is a group of 8 – 10 women who meet once a month…the 2nd Tues. of the month at 1:00 p.m at the church. They share rides, helping everyone who wants to come to get there. They visit, they have a devotion, they enjoy coffee and treats provided by one of their members, and they discuss the work projects and mission projects supported by Westminster and decide where they can help. They are happy to welcome new members into their fellowship and friendship. Hannah Circle meets monthly from September thru May.
The Mary Circle is a group of 8 – 10 women who meet once a month…the 3rd Tues. of the month, at 1:30 p.m. We usually meet in our homes, but occasionally meet at the church as well. We have a Bible Study each month, we discuss the events and projects happening at the church, as well as the mission projects we’re currently working on supporting, and we volunteer to help do what needs to be done. Some of us cook, or garden, or help serve a meal, or make a quilt….ways to use our gifts to serve God. We also visit, have coffee and treats, and enjoy our time together as friends. We welcome new members into our friendship. Mary Circle meets monthly from September thru May.
Last Monday of each month Big Daddy's Restaurant (7:00 a.m.)

We are called to make a difference!
At Westminster Presbyterian Church we have a passionate group of women……who are rabid fans of quilting!!! We’re crazy about fabric, we love showing people what we have created, how we used color and skill to make something special…..and that something…is a quilt….and that quilt happens to keep someone warm.
Most important fact about us is: We feel God has given us this passion for a reason, and we believe that reason is to share what we make with people in need…people who are homeless, who are victims, who live with very little in resources, who are reminded by the label we put on every quilt we make that says: “GOD LOVES YOU” and we proudly tell them we are Westminster’s Quilters.
What we Do: we provide the teacher, we provide the fabric, backing, and batting. We meet weekly from January thru April on Wednesday at noon. We learn skills that go into putting a quilt together. We have a wide range of abilities and all are willing to help each other. We work at home during the week, and we sew together and learn new skills each week in class. And….one of our favorite parts of our day is what kindergarteners call “Show and Tell” where we get to put our creation on the table for all other quilters to admire and appreciate.
What You Gain: when you join us, you meet new friends, you make something you enjoy, and you have the privilege of giving it to someone in need, you take home new skills that you can use to make something for your friends or family using your own fabrics and receiving those skills costs you nothing but a willing heart and hands and the time you spend in class.
We are looking for sewing machines in good working condition to be used at church. If you know of a machine languishing in a closet, please consider donating to the church to be used by the quilters in their ministry. Last year over 200 quilts were donated to people in need in our area.
We’d like you to be a part of this mission.
We anticipate with joy, meeting you, sharing our plans, and encouraging you to join with us in helping someone in need.
